Hello fellow foodies! I’m Mercy, your go-to restaurant blogger for all things delicious. Today, I’m thrilled to share with you my latest culinary adventure at Chung Ki Wa in Los Angeles - a hidden gem serving up authentic and mouth-watering Korean cuisine that will leave you craving for more.
Welcome to Chung Ki Wa, the ultimate destination for Korean food lovers! As soon as you step inside this cozy restaurant, you’ll be greeted by the warm aroma of sizzling meats and the vibrant colors of traditional Korean decorations. Their extensive menu boasts a range of mouth-watering dishes, from spicy hot pots to savory BBQ, all made with fresh ingredients and love.
I’m still dreaming about the incredibly rich and savory Korean-style hot pot I had at Chung Ki Wa! The flavors were so complex, with a perfect balance of spicy kick from the gochujang paste and the depth of umami from the pork bones. Each bite was like a party in my mouth, with the tender slices of beef and pork mingling with the soft, velvety tofu and crunchy vegetables all in harmony. I couldn’t get enough! The best part? You can customize your hot pot to your liking with an array of colorful ingredients, making every bowl unique. Trust me, you won’t want to miss out on this culinary experience - get ready for a flavor explosion!
Chung Ki Wa’s Spicy Korean soup is the perfect remedy for a chilly day! This comforting and invigorating dish is made with tender chunks of beef short ribs that just melt in your mouth, all simmered in a spicy broth infused with fragrant Korean chili flakes (gochugaru) and aromatics like garlic and ginger. The heat level can be adjusted to your liking, but I say go for it - the spice only adds to the depth of flavor! It’s served with a side of steamed rice, which helps soak up all that delicious broth. Don’t worry if you’re not a huge fan of spicy food; there are plenty of milder options on the menu too!
Get ready for a taste sensation at Chung Ki Wa’s Korean BBQ! The marinated meats - from juicy bulgogi beef to fall-off-the-bone pork belly - are grilled to perfection and served with an assortment of traditional Korean sides like kimchi, spicy cucumber salad, and crispy garlic rice. What I love most about this dish is the way the bold flavors of the marinade really shine through in each bite, leaving your taste buds wanting more! Whether you’re a seasoned BBQ fan or just looking to try something new, Chung Ki Wa’s Korean BBQ will not disappoint - come hungry!
A casual, family-friendly eatery with a modern decor and relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant has a large window at the front that allows natural light to pour in during the day, and is decorated with colorful artwork and decorations. There are several tables and chairs arranged in a cozy seating area in the background, making it an ideal spot for a casual meal with family or friends.
