As a food blogger, I’m always on the lookout for new and exciting restaurants to try. When I heard about Serai, a Malaysian-Asian fusion restaurant in Chicago, I knew I had to check it out. Located at 2169 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60647, USA, Serai offers a unique blend of flavors and cuisines that is sure to satisfy any foodie’s cravings.
As you step into Serai, you’re immediately greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere of this Malaysian-Asian fusion restaurant. With its modern decor and lively ambiance, Serai is the perfect spot for a night out with friends or a romantic dinner date. The menu features a range of dishes from Malaysia and Asia, including noodle dishes, stir-fries, and curries.
I recently had the opportunity to try Serai’s signature dish, Char Kway Teow. This Malaysian stir-fry was cooked to perfection with a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors. The noodles were cooked just right, not too soft or hard, and the addition of shrimp, pork, and vegetables made for a satisfying and filling meal.
I also had the chance to try Fried Spring Rolls at Serai. These crispy fried rolls were filled with shredded vegetables and served with a sweet chili sauce that added just the right amount of heat. The texture was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, making for a delightful snack or appetizer.
Another dish I tried at Serai was Mee Goreng. This spicy fried noodle dish was cooked to perfection with a perfect balance of flavors. The noodles were cooked just right, not too soft or hard, and the addition of vegetables and spices made for a flavorful and satisfying meal.
The restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with traditional Malaysian decorations and dim lighting. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is served in generous portions. The restaurant also offers outdoor seating, which provides a nice view of the surrounding area.
