Welcome back to my food blog! Today, we’re exploring one of Chicago’s hidden gems - AO Hawaiian Hideout. Located at 1315 S Wabash Ave Chicago, IL 60605 , USA, this Asian Fusion, Hawaiian, Lounges restaurant has been on my radar for a while now. With its unique blend of flavors and cozy atmosphere, I knew it was time to share this gem with all of you.
AO Hawaiian Hideout is an unassuming gem nestled in the heart of Chicago. As soon as we stepped inside, we were enveloped by the warm ambiance and inviting aroma of their signature dishes. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure our every need was met. We settled into a cozy corner table by the window, feeling like we’d stumbled upon a secret hideaway.
I recently had the pleasure of indulging in the Spring rolls at AO Hawaiian Hideout, and I must say, they were absolutely divine. The combination of crispy exterior and soft interior was a perfect harmony of textures, while the flavors of the filling danced on my palate. I could taste the freshness of the vegetables and the subtle sweetness of the noodles. It’s no wonder these spring rolls have become one of our favorites at AO Hawaiian Hideout.
The orange sauce served with the spring rolls was a game-changer. Its sweet and tangy flavor profile complemented the spring rolls perfectly, adding an extra layer of depth to each bite. I loved how it brought all the flavors together in perfect harmony. The sauce had just the right amount of zing without overpowering the delicate taste of the spring rolls.
The serving of rice at AO Hawaiian Hideout is a masterclass in simplicity and elegance. Cooked to perfection, each grain was separate and fluffy, providing a comforting base for the other dishes on our table. I appreciated how it soaked up all the flavors from the spring rolls and sauce without overpowering them.
A casual and modern restaurant with a mix of wooden and glass tables, white walls, plants, flowers, bright natural lighting during the day, and dimmed lights at night. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, perfect for a casual dinner or lunch with friends and family.
Excellent food. Excellent drinks. Pad See Ewe is awesome, Penang Curry is very flavorful and spicy. Waitstaff was friendly and very helpful for gluten-free.
